Thanks to everyone for coming out to the YYC Tech Gives Fall meeting. It was great to see so many companies, both new and existing. To date, YYC Tech Gives has raised over $1,000,000 and it is because of the wonderful people and companies that get involved and give back to their local community. Hopefully everyone came away excited for upcoming events like; IHS CANstruction 2018 and SPAM CUP and some fundraising ideas for their own companies.
Through the very exciting auction, we raised 2150 lbs worth of food for the Calgary Food Bank, thanks to the wonderful crew at Benevity and IHS Markit! The auction was followed up by a lightening round of pumpkin carving where the CBC and Calgary Food Bank and the tough job of determining a winner. With a dash of sparkle, XI Technologies took home first place, with Menome Technologies finishing close behind in 2nd.
For those that couldn't make it, all the information and important dates will be up on our website. Don't forget that the 2018 SPAM CUP registration will open on Tuesday, November 6th at 9 am!
