If you've ever worked for a start-up, especially in it's early years, you know what it's like to work in a lean organization with limited resources. This year, Vivametrica was introduced to YYC Tech Gives through a friend of the company. It was a week before the Spam Cup, but we managed to get the majority of our team out to the event. XI Technologies kicked off their 2015 Holiday Mission in November. For 4 weeks, the 2014 Spam Cup Champions banded together to donate most-needed supplies to the Calgary Food Bank. Each week, XI staff were challenged to bring in specific items…like peanut butter, soup cans, diapers and wipes. XI collected 976 items for our friends in the Calgary community! XI folks generously pitched in to boost the ongoing YYC Tech Gives efforts. Thanks to everyone who donated - nice work!

Teams 4604, 4627 and 5897 turned out to support the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank Saturday December 12th. During their three hour shift, they moved an impressive 11,300 lbs of food, prepared 231 family hampers, loaded 33 pallets of hampers and will provide help to over 791 people in need.
