Since 2010, YYC Tech Gives has donated over $2.1 million, which translates to over $7.5 million worth of food in the hands of Calgarians in need.

Volunteer Based
Volunteer driven, we ensure all donations go directly to The Calgary Food Bank. Every year our volunteers organize numerous fundraising events and sort thousands of pounds of food at our annual SPAM CUP competition!

CHARITY
THE CALGARY FOOD BANK
We chose to support The Calgary Food Bank because it is a local organization that provides a big uplift to their clients. In the past year, the Calgary Food Bank has donated 9,139,114 lbs of food, which is 9,786 meals Every Day for those in need.
Event Driven
Each year, YYC Tech Gives participating teams plan various fundraisers and events to raise food, funds for the Calgary Food Bank. The Spam Cup food sorting competition, is the final event broadcast live on the CBC EyeOpener.
Teams collect points through their food and fund donations over the course of the campaign. SPAM Cup is hosted at the Food Bank’s Warehouse and the final opportunity to earn points and claim the title.
